veneer meets afro-music!

Just the simple rectanglar box, but it plays a cool but very hot sound!!
Before you read further article, you must click here to hear his voice.

How nice sound he made!!
He is Cajon ,the music instrument most widely used as a Afro-Peruvian percussion which was developed in costal Peru in early 1800's, and now it is getting well known music instrument not only for Latin Rumba music but also the sound have been brought into the Flamenco music. Also,in recent years, due to such a hot sound and it's handiness, the Street-Musicians welcome this Cajon to their music instrument for playing it's wonderful rhythms

Mr.Yoshiro Aonuma (ARCO Percussion Co,.ltd)the Japanese leading Cajon manufacturer adopt our various veneers for it. We have great respect for his inquiring mind making the better sound with it. His Cajon is decorated with the several kinds of natural veneer. But we are surprised his message that " Veneer is not only it's decoration, even though the veneer is very thick, different veneer makes different sound. It's characteristic reflect on the sound and each veneer makes different sound.Quite difference compared with the non veneered plain plywood." Through htis opportunity, meeting with him makes us realizing again the interest of natural-veneers.
